Midwifery Services in English
For my postpartum clients I provide regular home-visits in the first two to three months according to the standard german model. I offer support in many postpartum areas: your recovery and regeneration, with breastfeeding, and with getting to know and care for your new baby – how they are developing, sleeping, growing and adapting to their new environment.
In pregnancy I offer regular consultations in my cosy consulting space in St Pauli and can provide checkups on the development of the pregnancy in combination with your regular gynecological checkups. I can guide and advice on a wide range of themes, such as nutrition and exercise, common complaints in pregnancy, and organisation and preparing for birth and beyond.
All services are covered by the public and private health insurance providers
I offer at-home consultation in Hamburg St Pauli and Sternschanze, and can offer online consultations if you live further away and require help and advice with breastfeeding

I offer support from the very beginning: during pregnancy I offer antenatal check-ups, consultations and help with typical pregnancy complaints. Together we look at what you need in that moment and take time for your questions.
With regards to the birth I offer support with birth preparation, choosing where the birth should take place, and mental as well as practical preparation. It is important to me that you feel confident to make informed decisions and feel well cared for.
In the postpartum period I offer regular home visits and help with breast/chestfeeding, bottle feeding, recovery after the birth, and all your questions about everyday life with your baby. I keep an eye on your wellbeing and your baby’s – based on up-to-date medical knowledge, tailored to your unique situation. -
I work as a midwife in Hamburg and support families in the districts of St Pauli, Sternschanze, Karolinenviertel and Neustadt. Please check before getting in touch whether your address is within my care area.
Appointments during pregnancy take place in my cosy practice room next to the Schilleroper.
I work in both German and English and have extensive experience with international families, rainbow families and single parents. If certain cultural or language aspects are important to you, please feel free to tell me directly. -
I really value working together on an equal footing. That means: I bring professional knowledge and experience, and your wishes, questions and gut feelings are just as important. Together we find a way that fits you and your family.
During our appointments we take the time for questions, necessary physical examinations and looking at your current situation. I work in an evidence-based, resource-oriented and open-ended way and make sure not to overwhelm you with information, but to give you what you need at that moment in time.
You are welcome to show up just as you are- be that with excitement, uncertainty, exhaustion or enthusiasm. My role is to offer you orientation, a sense of security and help you develop confidence in your own path through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.
As a native english speaker I am happy to offer a range of services for international and expat families. As an international resident who trained as a midwife here in Hamburg, I aim to provide my clients with confidence in navigating the maternity system in Germany as I understand it can be tricky and sometimes overwhelming.
I run monthly birth preparation classes and an introduction to breastfeeding class, as well as tailor-made and bespoke private classes according to individual needs
